new found art

Much like photography, "sign art" has gone through a rapid, digital revolution. The signage appearing today, is much sharper, more saturated, and in your face - almost pornographic. But it's here, and a new wonderment that I found recently at our local County Fair.  Made me want to eat, and I ate.

Been a few years

Once, my children's favorite pet store. Today a first time visit with my visiting grand-daughter, Neve.

Seascape Aquarium, locally owned for the past 39 years.

Always my favorite

"Showtime" under the Big Top.

Our little Nico joined us .....

Wilson and Nico ringside, glued to Hans Klose's trained canines.

And the Kolev Sisters (Michelle & Nicole) all the way from Italy, performing for their first time in the US - their incredible acrobatic, hand-balancing act.  Raised in a Italian "flying" family (though their English skills weren't so great), their mother, Gilda Vulcanelli, today is the only female lion tamer in Italy and the youngest in Europe. These beautiful sisters, themselves young and extraordinary performers, were the true show, 'showstoppers'.  Had the tent crowd and myself, on our feet.
